Community Power Funding Story – National Lottery Award

The Community Anchor Network (CAN) at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park was awarded £80k from the National Lottery’s Community Power Fund in 2026. Selected from 650 applicants, CAN is one of 17 shortlisted projects nationwide, supporting community power across Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest.This funding enables a year-long programme to strengthen community voice and decision-making, with DBN and 14 other local partners co-designing a new model of community empowerment with LLDC's Inclusive Growth Team and Park institutions.
